# Introduction Vault is a Web3 project by CNN to reflect on the world events we experience together. We bring together award-winning journalists, inspirational artists, and collectors to explore the stories that unite us through the eyes of one another. At Vault, we do this through NFTs. We release digital collectibles that feature historic moments and artistic interpretations archival media and artist creations as conversation starters. Anyone can join our community but only Vault collectors can contribute their own stories. By limiting participation to a small group of NFT owners, we hope to avoid the trolls and bad actors we see on social media, and incentivize participants to create inviting and uplifting discussions. The "ownership mentality" means that every collector has an interest in making the Vault community a place that others want to join.
